Rocky Mountain Arsenal Trails
Looking across Lake Ladora
April 22, 2018
After attending a weekend photography workshop, my son and I decided to hike so trails in the Rocky Mountain Arsenal. A former chemical weapons plant, it is now a wildlife refuge. We parked at the visitor center and did three trails, each one connecting with the next trail for a total of 4.5 miles round trip. The first trail was the Leagcy trail. Then we connected to the Lake Mary Loop, and then connected with the Lake Ladora Loop. These easy trails give a great view of Denver and the Front Range Rocky Mountains as well as wildlife in the refuge area.
