One of the wonderful things about Douglas County are all the trails and open spaces for hiking and Spruce Mountain Trail is one of the few places I hadn’t hiked yet. The trailhead parking area had several cars and two school buses but I was stil able to find a spot. The temperature was about 60 degrees, a good day to wear shorts.
