Boulder Rock Climbing

Climbing is inherently dangerous. Climb at your own risk. This is not an instruction on how to rock climb or where to rock climb, it is merely my opinion. Failure to learn how to climb and failure to learn about where and when to climb can lead to death. Get qualified instruction before climbing.

Boulder, Colorado is one of the most famous rock climbing destinations in the United States, offering world-class sandstone and granite climbing just minutes from downtown. Rock climbing in Boulder, Colorado includes sport, trad, and bouldering, with grades ranging from beginner-friendly climbs to elite-level test pieces found in areas like Eldorado Canyon, Boulder Canyon, and Flagstaff Mountain.

With easy access, a deep climbing history, and year-round climbing opportunities, Boulder attracts climbers from around the world. Popular crags can be busy, especially on weekends, so early starts and awareness of area-specific access regulations are essential to preserving these iconic Front Range climbing areas.
