Gordon is a documentary filmmaker, explorer, and hiker who developed a passion for hiking at the age of 6. Growing up in Oklahoma, he spent summers with his grandparents at Rocky Mountain National Park where he was inspired to hike Long’s Peak, the tallest mountain in the park. Believing that rock climbing was a requirement to summit the peak, he began climbing at Chandler Park and completed his first lead climbs in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. In 1994, he moved to Colorado and hiked Longs Peak for the first time in 1996.

As a family tradition, Gordon collects Trail Tag Patches from each of his hikes in RMNP and sews them onto a sweatshirt. He has amassed 84 patches to date, as well as having hiked several Colorado 14ers and climbed Mt Rainier.

Gordon holds a BFA in Film/Video from the Community College of Aurora and the University of Colorado at Denver. He is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, having created content that captures the beauty and excitement of life for clients such as XFINITY Latino, PBS, and Baby Einstein. His career began during college, where he edited a medical documentary series that won over 20 national awards. Projects he has worked on have also won several national awards, including Regional EMMY® awards, Telly awards, and Communicator awards.
