Adventure
Adventure means many things to me. From hiking and climbing to exploring cities to swimming with sharks to working through difficult emotions. Adventures have a sense of wonderment and exploration. What does adventure mean to you?
Scuba Diving
Inspired by the images and videos of Jacques Cousteau, I had always wanted to dive. I was Open-Water certified in 2018 after snorkeling in Maui and seeing White-Tip Reef sharks. I look forward to more in scuba adventures in the future.
Fourteeners
Longs Peak, I’m Rocky Mountain National Park was the first fourteener I hiked and I was hooked. I have completed the Front Range, The Mosquito Range and look forward to completing all of Colorado’s Fourteeners.
Hiking
I started hiking in 1980 as a little child, when my grandparents brought me to Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Since then, hiking has been a very big part of my life. I have completed two 52 Hike Challenges, The Ultimate Hiking Challenge, and have hiked over 1000 miles in my lifetime.
Climbing
I started rock climbing in Tulsa, Ok at Chandler Park, then did my first lead climb on Elk Slabs in the Wichita Mountains, southern OK. I have climbed in Vedauwoo with Rob Kelman, and climbed in Colorado as well. My late friend Michael Sharp and I free soloed the first 3 Flatirons.
